Registration:

We have designed workshops that are fun and easy, baking for recreational purposes but in a professional environment. 

 
Scheduling yourself for a workshop is easy!

Each Workshop is $65.00 per person, 50% must be paid in advance.(unless otherwise noted)


 Saturday Workshops have different skill levels.  Participants under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.  Adults can share the project with the child with a $25.00 sharing fee, or purchase the workshop for themselves. 


Skills Levels:

Basic Skill Workshops: This skill level requires you to have knowledge of measuring, mixing and can follow multi step directions independently and without assistance, must be able to read and do simple math skills. 


Life Skill Based Workshops - This skill level is for individuals over the age of 15 that need more step by step instruction.  This would include, larger print recipes, slower paced environment and guidance reading the recipe and mixing & measuring.  


Payment Options:

To confirm your reservation all payments must be received prior to the date of the workshop

Cancellation Policy:  Refunds will not be given, but if you are unable to come to the workshop and notify us within 72 hours prior to the workshop we will then offer you a credit for the workshop.  All cancellations must be submitted in writing to thebakingcoach@optonline.net, or fax us 631 543 2470 in order to receive a credit.

Make traditional Sugar Cookie and Gingerbread Cookie cut outs.  Blend ingredients to make the cookie dough, roll and bake.  Decorate with a sugar glaze and sprinkles

Build and Decorate a Gingerbread House using candy, fondant and sugar glaze.  Learn how to make royal icing. Take home wrapped in cellophane.

Saturday, 12/14/19 1:45 – 3:45 pm -   Holiday Gingerbread House Decorating!  (Life Skill Level) -

Saturday, 12/21/19 – 10:00 am – 1:00 pm Gingerbread House Making & Pizza Workshop!  (Basic Skill Level)  $95.00 per person.  You may share this project with one person for an additional charge of $50.00

First we make the Gingerbread Dough from scratch. Roll and cut the house pieces. Bake in the oven.  While the cookies are baking, we will make fresh pizza dough.  Then we will remove the cookies to cool and do a demonstration on how to make Royal Icing and Fondant.  Now it’s time to build our house!  While the houses are setting, we will make and enjoy sampling freshly baked pizza.  (Please bring your own non-alcoholic beverage) Now it’s time to wrap up your newly built house and time for you to take it home to decorate with some fondant and additional royal icing.

Saturday, 12/21/19 1:45 pm– 3:45 pm Holiday Appetizers – (Life Skills Level)           

   Learn to make Bacon Cheddar Pinwheels, Pigs in a blanket and enjoy sampling a holiday Gingerbread dessert dip!

Take home a tin of ready to eat appetizers.

Thursday 12/26 AM - Snow Globe Cake - Take home a 3 D Snow Globe Cake and Enjoy Snacking on Freshly Made Stuffed Pretzels

Thursday 12/26 PM - Pizza and Cupcake Battle - Make Fresh Pizza and Enjoy an afternoon Cupcake Battle, work with fondant and buttercream 

Friday 12/27 AM -  All about the Cookies - Bake and Decorate Cookies, plus enjoy a making a fruit slushy during this workshop!

Friday 12/27 PM - Ramen, Fried Rice and Fried Rice Cupcakes- Learn how to make your own Ramen and Fried Rice then decorate cupcakes to look like Fried Rice!

Saturday, 1/4/2020 - 10:00 am - 12:00 noon -  Baking Boot Camp 101 for Kids Only (Ages 8 to 16) (Basic Skill Level)

Create Cookies and Cupcakes from scratch!  Take home a bakery box full of treats!  Make s'more chocolate chip cookies, and vanilla cupcakes with chocolate frosting.  This class will go over basic measuring and mixing methods.

Learn how to make buttercream, level, score, fill and frost a 7-inch round cake.  Garnish with a simple border and take home in a bakery box

Saturday 1/4/2020 2:30 pm – 4:30 pm Basic Cake Decorating Two (Basic Skill Level) 
Learn how to decorate a cake like a pro, we will also teach you how to make a shell and rosette border, fondant flowers and leaves.  


Saturday, 1/11/2020 - 10:00 am - 12:00 Noon - Baking Boot Camp 102 for Kids Only (Ages 8 to 16) (Basic Skill Level)

Pizza, Garlic Knots and Brownies - Join us for 2 hours of working with different dough making workshops, learn about yeast and how it works!  We will finish off the session making classic brownies from scratch!


Saturday, 1/11/2020 10:00 am to 12:00 Noon - Winter theme Cookie Decorating - (Basic Skill Level)

Work with fondant, royal icing and sugar glaze and make winter themed cookies.  Snow globe, snowflake, melted snowman and much more.  Take home 8 cookies in a bakery box.

Learn how to make a classic sugar cookie, and sandwich them with jam creating a Linzer tart and also make classic brownies.  Take home a box full of treats.
