We have designed workshops that are fun and easy, baking for recreational purposes but in a professional environment. 



Payment Options:

To confirm your reservation all payments must be received prior to the date of the workshop

Cancellation Policy:  Refunds will not be given, but if you are unable to come to the workshop and notify us within 72 hours prior to the workshop we will then offer you a credit for the workshop.  All cancellations must be submitted in writing to thebakingcoach@optonline.net, or fax us 631 543 2470 in order to receive a credit.

Basic Skill Workshops:
This skill level requires you to have knowledge of measuring, mixing and can follow multi step directions independently and without assistance, must be able to read and do simple math skills. 

Life Skill Based Workshops -
This skill level is for individuals that need step by step instruction. They require prompting to complete tasks and guidance following multi step directions.  One on one assistance is allowed but not provided and maybe required to help the student complete the workshop. This includes larger print recipes, and a relaxed environment.

Saturday Workshops Basic Skill – Adult and All ages Welcome!
​Basic Skill Workshops: This skill level requires you to have knowledge of measuring, mixing and can follow multi step directions independently and without assistance, must be able to read and do simple math skills. All Ages Welcome, unless otherwise noted
  Participants under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.  Adults can share the project with the child with a $30.00 sharing fee, or purchase the workshop for themselves.

Saturday 1/25/2020 – 9:00 am – 11:00 am Fondant Cake Decorating (Basic Skill Level)
Learn how to make fondant icing and how to cover a cake in fondant.  Take home a 7-inch round cake in a bakery box

Saturday 1/25/2020 11:30 am to 1:30 pm– Soups and Scones (Basic Skill Level) (Sold Out)
Learn how to make an amazing Potato Leek Soup and savory scones!
 
Saturday 1/25/2020 3:45 pm – 5:30 pm – Cookies and Brownies Baking (Basic Skill Level)
Learn how to make a classic sugar cookie, and sandwich them with jam creating a Linzer tart and also make classic brownies.  Take home a box full of treats.

 Saturday 2/1/2020 - 11:45 am to 1:30 am - Fondant Cake Decorating (Basic Skill Level)
Create homemade buttercream fondant, learn how to cover a cake in fondant and decorate with simple fondant cut outs.  Take home a 7-inch round cake in a bakery box.

Saturday 2/8/2020 - 9:30 am - 11:15 am Valentine’s Day Cupcake Baking and Decorating (Basic Skill Level)
Bake Chocolate Cupcakes from scratch, learn how to make buttercream icing work with pastry bags and make assorted designs. Take home 8 cupcakes in a bakery box

Create beautifully decorated cookies using Royal Icing, Fondant and Sugar Glaze.  Take home 8 Cookies in a bakery box

Saturday 2/8/2020 3:30 - 5:15 pm Valentine’s Baking Workshop (Basic Skill Level)
Learn how to heart shaped sugar cookies filled with jam and classic double chocolate brownies.  We will make both from scratch. Learn techniques on rolling and cutting cookies.  Take home a bakery box full of treats.

Heart Shaped Pizza and Chocolate Cupcake Baking and Decorating Workshop $100.00 per couple
 

Join us for a fun couple workshop - This workshop starts with a hands on pizza dough lesson. As the pizza dough is rising we will create chocolate cupcakes from scratch.  Enjoy fresh pizza and learn how to make homemade buttercream during this workshop.


Saturday 2/15/2020 - 2:30 - 4:30 pm Heart Shaped Linzer Tarts and Classic Chocolate Whoopie Pie Workshop (Basic Skill)

Valentine's Day Special Price $70.00 each or $100.00 per (couple Sharing one Project)
 First, we will demonstrate how to make the cookie dough and whoopie pie cake batter to make the whoopie pies.  Fill pastry bags and bake off the whoopie pie cookies.  Then roll out the cookie dough into heart shapes and make the Linzer tarts.  Create a homemade buttercream and create the whoopie pies.  Go home with a box full of treats.   4 Linzer tarts and 4 whoopie pies.


Saturday, 2/22/2020 - 10:00 am - 11:45 am Cake Decorating One (Basic Skill Level)

Learn how to level a cake, slice it in half to fill.  Cover your cake with a classic buttercream we will make from scratch during the workshop.  Create a simple design partner using a pastry bag.  Everyone goes home with a cake in a bakery box.


Saturday 2/22/2020 12:00 - 2:00 pm Basic Decorating Two (Basic Skill Level)

Learn how to cover a cake in buttercream, learn simple boarders, rosette, shell and leaf.  Create a fondant flower to garnish your cake.  Everyone goes home with a cake in a bakery box.


Saturday 2/29/2020 9:30 am - 11:15 am - Homemade Classic Ravioli with Tomato Sauce (Basic Skill Level)
Learn how to make the pasta dough from scratch fill ravioli with classic cheese filling and learn a quick tomato sauce.

Learn Classic Pizza & Pretzel dough.  Enjoy sampling freshly baked pretzel nuggets during the workshop.

Learn how to make Irish Soda Bread while the bread, we will cut, roll and decorate some shamrock sugar cookies!


3/28/2020 10:00 am to 11:45 am Pizza and Garlic Knot Workshop (Basic Skill)

Learn a classic pizza dough, assemble a 9 inch personal pie to take home and bake.  Learn the art of making garlic knots take home a 1/2 dozen freshly baked.

Learn how to assemble and decorate cake pops, take home 8 in a bakery box/

Saturday, 1/25/2020 - 10:00 am - 12:00 noon - Baking Boot Camp Junior 101 for Kids Only (Ages 6 to 8) (Basic Skill Level)
Create Cookies and Cupcakes from scratch!  Take home a bakery box full of treats!  Make chocolate chip cookies, and chocolate cupcakes with vanilla frosting.  This class will go over basic measuring and mixing methods.

Saturday 2/1/2020 - 9:30 am - 11:15 am - Tie Dye Fondant Cake Decorating (Basic Skill Level) (Ages 8 to 16)

Create homemade buttercream fondant, create a tie dye effect, cover a 7-inch round cake and take home in a bakery box!

Saturday 2/1/2020 - 2:00 pm - 3:45 Tie Dye Fondant Cake Decorating (Basic Skill Level) Ages 6 to 8 
​Cake Decorating with Fondant Cut outs.  Learn how to frost a cake with buttercream, then cover the cake with fondant cut outs.  We will do a demonstration on how fondant is made.  Everyone takes home a 7-inch round cake in a bakery box
